Che’s ideas are absolutely relevant today— by Fidel Castro 

Now, he was actually murdered the following day after having been captured unarmed and wounded; his weapon had been rendered useless in battle. 

It must be kept in mind that Che persisted in an old desire, an old idea: to return to South America, to his country, to make the revolution based on the experience he’d gained in our country. 

We were well aware of Che’s talent, his experience and his role. He was a cadre suited to major strategic tasks. As always, we respected our commitments and his views, for our relationship was always based on absolute trust, absolute brotherhood, regardless of our ideas about what would be the right time for him to join in. And so we gave him all the help and the facilities possible to start the struggle.

My relationship with Che were so unique — the almost unreal history of the brief but intense saga of the first year of the revolution when we were used to making the impossible possible. I had the permanent impression that Che had not died, that he was still alive. Sine his was such an exemplary personality, so unforgettable, so familiar, it was difficult to resign oneself to the idea of his death.

Sometimes I would dream — all of us dream of things related to our lives and struggles — that I saw Che, that he returned, that we was alive. How often this happened!. these are feelings you seldom talk about, but they give an idea of the impact of Che’s personality and also of the extraordinary degree to which he really lives on, almost as if his was a physical presence, with his ideas and deeds, with his example and all the things he created, with his continued relevance and the respect for him not only in Latin America but in Europe and all over the world. 

Che became a symbol for all the oppressed, for all the exploited, for all the patriotic and democratic forces, for all the revolutionaries. He became a permanent and invincible symbol.The real force that he still has today which exists in the spirit of all of us, when we hear the poem, when we hear the anthem, or the bugle is sounded before a moment’s silence, when we open our newspapers and see photographs of Che during different stages of his life, his image, so well known throughout the world — because it has to be said that Che not only had the virtues and all the human moral qualities to be a symbol, he also had the appearance of a symbol, the image of a symbol: his look, the frankness and strength of his look; his face, which reflects character irrepressibly determined for action.It’s not strange if one feels Che’s presence not only in everyday life, but even in dreams if one imagines that he is alive, that Che is in action and that he never died. If we need a paradigm, a model, an example to follow, then men like Che are essential, as are men and women who imitate him, who are like him, who think like, who act like him.

وصفي التل …..اّخر رجال الدولة

وصفي التل … رجل تاريخ ، والتاريخ فاعلية بالدرجة الأساس ، والفاعلية حفر على جدار الزمن ، لكن وصفي التل يشكّل حالة تميز جوهرها “الإشكالية” وتداخل خطوط الرؤيا الموضوعية وله ثقل في إحداث الحدث السياسي أو تفعيل الواقع على الساحة ، سواء أكان في مركز القرار السياسي أو معارضاً مركزياً ، ولم يكن مجرّد “موظف سياسي” بل مدرسة سياسية لها منهجها وأيديولوجيتها ووسائلها المنسجمة مع المنطق خلق حالة من التناقض في فكر الآخرين أو سلوكياتهم لعدة أسباب : أولاً : وضوح موقف وصفي التل من نظام الحكم في الأردن ، وتأييده المطلق لمنهجه في زمن كانت المنطقة تغلي وتعج بالحركات الداعية إلى التغيير · ثانياً : الرؤيا السياسية ذات الخصوصية والمختلفة عن النهج “الناصري” أظهر وصفي التل لعامة الناس وكأنه نغمة خارج العزف لكنه بدا للخاصة بمثابة الحادي المعبّر عن ضمير المسيرة · ثالثاً : العلاقة والاحتكاك والتلامس مع الحركات السياسية على الساحة العربية قبل رئاسته الحكومة وبعدها .. شكّلت هاجساً معرفياً لكثير من الباحثين وهم يرسمون لونه السياسي والعقائدي .

حمل الشهيد وصفي التل عبء القضايا السياسية والعسكرية في المنطقة على كتفيه، وكان دائما هو السباق إلى تحمل مسؤولية قرارات تحتاج إلى الكثير من الشجاعة والحكمة وتعنى تداعياتها أن عليه أن يدفع الثمن لا أن يكسب الثمن. وهكذا كان انخراطه في صفوف المتطوعين العرب في جيش الإنقاذ عام 1948 ليشارك عسكريا في الدفاع عن فلسطين، وهكذا كانت قراراته الجريئة في إدارة الدولة الأردنية وتوجيه مواردها نحو التنمية والاكتفاء الذاتي والاستقلال والتركيز على أبقاء جذوة الكفاح المسلح وتمكين الجيش العربي من مواجهة إسرائيل، وهكذا أيضا كانت توجهاته بعدم المشاركة في حرب 1967 والتي كان من الصعب تقبلها سياسيا ولكن الأيام اثبتت مدى صحتها عسكريا واستراتيجيا. وهكذا أيضا كان تصديه للمسؤولية الصعبة والهائلة في قيادة مجهود حماية استقرار وأمن الدولة الأردنية عندما كانت الفوضى تدب عام 1970 وهي المسؤولية التي بقي يحملها طوال تاريخه ودفع ثمنها حتى بعد موته، ولكنه كان من القلائل الذين تحلوا بالشجاعة والثقة التامة بالدولة الأردنية لتنفيذ دور لا غنى عنه لبقاء الأردن  مستقرا مستقلا، وهو قرار أثبتت الأيام ايضا بأنه لم يكن هناك مفر منه.
 
 وعلى الصعيد الداخلي كان وصفي التل أبرز رؤساء الوزراء الأردنيين في محاربة الفساد، ولم يجمع بين السياسة والتجارة والمصالح الخاصة، ولم يبن الشركات والاستثمارات بل بقي دائما في تواضعه الأردني المعروف وبقي وفيا لمهامه السياسية وحمايته للدولة الأردنية، وبالنسبه إليه كان منصب رئيس الوزراء تكليفا ومسؤولية لا تشريفا. كما أن جهود الشهيد التل في التنمية الوطنية ومشاريع البناء والتشجير ونقل التنمية والخدمات العامة إلى كل قرى الأردن وبواديها كانت هي حجر الأساس لكل التنمية الحديثة في الأردن .

اشتهر وصفي التل بنظافة اليد والضرب بيد من حديد على الفساد والمحسوبية، ولما مات كان عليه دينا قيمته 92 ألف دينار معظمها لمؤسسة الضمان الاجتماعي قرضا لإنشاء مزرعة له في الحمر غرب عمان. كان وصفي التل أول من أطلق شعار “عمان هانوي العرب”، أي جعل عمان عاصمة النضال الفلسطيني، ولكن تدخلات إسرائيل والأنظمة العربية وشذوذ بعض المنظمات الفدائية شوه العمل الفدائي ما نجم عن مصادمات عنيفة في العام 1971.

نشر وصفي التل كتاب واحد تحت اسم مستعار عن خفايا الهزيمة العربية ومؤامرات ما قبل الحرب العربية الاسرائلية، ونشرت اللواء كتاب كتابات في القضايا العربية ضم معظم انتاج وصفي التل.اغتيل وصفي التل في القاهره عام 1971 عندما كان يحضر اجتماعا للدول العربية,اعلنت منظمة فلسطينية تطلق على نفسها منظمة أيلول الأسود مسؤليتها عن مقتله لدوره في احداث  أيلول  عام 1970.

Arthur Ashe…Why Me

Arthur Ashe, the legendary Wimbledon player was dying of AIDS which he got due to infected blood he received during a heart surgery in 1983. From world over, he received letters from his fans, one of which  conveyed: “Why does GOD have to select you for such a bad disease”?.

To this Arthur Ashe replied: The world over — 50,000,000 children start playing tennis, 5,000,000 learn to play tennis, 500,000 learn professional tennis, 50,000 come to the circuit, 5000 reach the grand slam, 50 reach Wimbledon, 4 to semi final, 2 to the finals, When I was holding a cup I never asked GOD “Why me?”. And today in pain I should not be asking GOD “Why
me?”.
