The dramatic events of Paris may live long in the memory but already attention is turning towards this year’s final in Athens. Milan and Bayern, who have ten continental crowns between them, met most recently in the first knockout round of last year’s competition when the Italian side won 5-2 on aggregate. The other matches; PSV Eindhoven and Liverpool FC pitted together once more following their group-stage games in the autumn, while AS Roma face Manchester United FC, and Chelsea FC take on Valencia CF. The ties will be played on 3/4 April and 10/11 April.

Kathem El Saher has received an official invitation to attend the Oscars Awards 2007 ceremony in Los Angeles California. The singer has participated in the film “Mawtini Mawtini” (My Country My Country), which is nominated in the Best Documentary Film category.
Kathem’s music and voice was used in the film, which is based on the chaos that is taking place in Iraq. Director of the film Laura Bitras had stated that she felt it is an essential element to have Kathem’s music in the film, and she had nominated the singer after watching one of his performances on TV. Laura added that she was taken back by how much people loved the singer, and he is not only a son of Iraq, but a true Arab Superstar.
According to the London based Elaph, Kathem has recently completed recording the songs for his upcoming album, and stated that he is very optimistic about the new release.
The cameras followed the singer to Los Angeles California and other cities to present behind the scenes footage of his recent tour around the USA.
